Artifacts of Ancient Israel: A Visit to the Badè Collection
Description
Please join the Richard S. Dinner Center for Jewish Studies, along with faculty and students interested in the Reception of Hebrew Bible for a short visit to Badè collection at the Pacific School of Religion. The Bade collection is an astounding set of archeological materials from the Tell en-Naṣbeh excavations, which took place northwest of Jerusalem between 1926 and 1935 under the direction of William Frederic Badè.

Viewing this collection brings out matters related to women, gender and everyday life in Ancient Israel and enables us to access the broader social landscape within which the Hebrew Bible emerged.
