Join A GTU Class: Introduction to Chaplaincy
Description
The Art of Presence: Spiritual Care in Diverse Settings introduces students to the theory and practice of chaplaincy and the evolving field of professional spiritual care. Students explore the historical development of chaplaincy and examine the roles, responsibilities, and ethical commitments of chaplains serving in diverse and interreligious contexts. Particular attention is given to chaplaincy in healthcare, higher education, corrections, the military, public safety (fire and police departments), and corporate settings. The course also considers how chaplains provide care to individuals and communities facing vulnerability, crisis, grief, and moral distress.
Available only via Zoom.
